(55)「思う」と「思います」

How to use "思う/思います"
<Is Japanese really difficult? (Part.55)>

(A) <When it rained yesterday, you were the area.>

"昨日は、雨が降ったと思います。or 雨が降っていたと思います。" is wrong.
You have to say "昨日は、雨が降りました。or 雨が降っていました。" because "思います" means "I don't know if it rained yesterday or not" in this case.

(B) <When you got 100 on the test.>

Don't say "テストで100点を取れたと思います。"
The correct phrase is "テストで100点を取りました。".
You can say "...取れたと思います。" before you got the result.

(C) <After you take a bath.>

"お風呂のお湯は熱いと思う。"
What do you think of this phrase? Is this correct? or wrong?

This phrase might sound wrong, because you have already feel that it's hot( the same nuance of (A) and (B)), but this is correct.
This phrase means that I feel that it's hot, but I don't know if you feel that it's hot or not.
Ofcourse, you can say "お風呂のお湯は熱い".

I was going to give you a lot of examples, but when I wrote (C), I realized this word has some nuances, so I won't tell you many examples because I might confuse you.
